Local Foundations make Christmas a little merrier for Orange County kids. The Beaumont Foundation, in partnership with the Reaud Foundation, hosted the first ever Hurricane Ike Relief “Bicycles and Bibles” event on Sunday, December 21, 2008 for 1000 children ages 6 to 12 and their families who suffered economic losses due to Hurricane Ike.

Judge Theodore Johns and the late Elmo R. Willard III were honored April 15, 2008 by three of their peers, local attorneys Wayne A Reaud, Gilbert I. “Buddy” Low and Michael Jamail, during a standing-room-only ceremony and statue unveiling at the Jefferson County Courthouse. The ceremony and statue were provided through a grant from the Beaumont Foundation.
April 18, 2008 – Crusaders Took Lead in Fight for Racial Equality

Theodore R. Johns and the late Elmo R. Willard III were memorialized in bronze as “Crusading Lawyers” whose work for civil rights in the 1950s and 1960s managed to bend history itself in Beaumont, Texas. The ceremony and bronze statue were provided through a grant from the Beaumont Foundation.
